Sales Policy

Thank you for the interest in reserving a kid from Double Shot Dairy! There are a few housekeeping items that we like all of our buyers to understand before reserving a kid. We currently do not require deposits for kid reservations. We will take 1 doeling and 1 buckling reservation per doe. We do reserve the right to retain any kid born for replacement. In the event that a reserved kid is not born or is retained, the buyer will have the option to either roll that reservation to the next kidding year or move the reservation to another doe for the same kidding year. You will be contacted on the day the kid is born to notify you that your reserved kid has been born. You will have 3 days to respond. After those 3 days, the kid will be placed available for other buyers if we do not receive a reply. We do ask that kids be picked up by 2 weeks of age. If a kid is unable to be picked up in this timeline, a boarding charge of $10/day will be added to the cost at time of pickup. We understand that special circumstances exist and sometimes buyers may not be able to pickup by 2 weeks of age due to family emergencies, work conflicts, etc. In these cases we ask that the buyer contact us to discuss the situation and we do ask for payment of the kid to be made in full. We do our best to provide all buyers with a healthy kid that best fits their needs. However, in the event of any GENETIC health condition that results in compromise in reproductive abilities, health of the animal, or quality of life issues we as the seller will replace the kid with a kid of equal value. Please understand that a written letter from the buyer's veterinarian will be required to confirm the genetic health condition. We will do our best to work with transporters and get kids where they need to go. Please be in touch with your transporter and plan ahead of time on how to get your kid home.
